Explorers Must:

 

• Be at least 14 years of age or have satisfactorily completed the 8th grade

 

• Be under 21 years old

 

• Have no serious criminal history (all members will undergo a criminal background check)

 

•  Maintain good academic standing- at least a C average

 

•  Have a mature and professional demeanor

 

•  Wear the Explorer Uniform properly (as per the Explorer’s Uniform Guide)

 

•  Maintain satisfactory attendance to post meetings/activities

 

•  Refrain from using or selling illicit narcotics

 

•  Refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages 

 

•  Not participate in any other unlawful activities

 

•  Desire to provide service to the community

 

•  Be motivated to learn about law enforcement/criminal justice
